Billen Cliffs in Rock Valley

Donny backing up the caravan to our 'spot' on his little tractor.

Nahlia's bathtub in a bucket!

Playing with Joy, 10yrs.

Feeding the chickens - 'alle' - 'empty', she says.

A little tractor for a little farmgirl!

Nahila loves to climb the rock steps... here the guys are building the house in the background - Donny, our wwoof host and Brett, another wwoofer.

One of the Billen Cliffs, behind the house.

Ulf removing old banana trees.

Emma hanging out the washing, showing the outdoor shower cubicle to the right.

Cooking beef soup stock on the open fire.

Our little climber!

We arrived at Billen Cliffs, a community in Rock Valley, NSW, last Sunday, to the home of Donny, Karen and Joy.  We've really enjoyed our first week here - Ulf has been doing different jobs around the house like brushcutting, thinning the banana trees out, removing a radiator and manifold from an old car; and Emma has been cooking three meals a day for 6 people. They have a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere here, with drumming in the evenings, coffee at the community coffee club on Saturdays, work-days finish at 3 or 4 pm and weekends are free.  We will likely be here for another three weeks before moving north again, hopefully to a wwoof host near to Emma's hometown, Gatton.
