Our days are now extremely full! Autumn leaves; freezing cold mornings; sitting by the fire; taking care of our daughter and each other; washing nappies; sorting through our belongings; packing boxes; making green tomato chutney; registering the caravan, cleaning it and doing small repairs; saying goodbye to friends; communicating with our WWOOF host, the next cottage tenants, and everyone else; keeping the floor clean; chopping wood; green smoothies every morning; and breathing the fresh autumn air.... are just a few things that keep us busy these days!
Nahlia loves to open and close the caravan door, as well as stepping up into it and then down and out again.
The flowers Nahlia gave me for Mother's Day...
It doesn't look like anything's been done in this room, but there is a stack of packed boxes in the corner! We are so eager to get everything packed and ready for shipping to Germany that we can get a little tense and sometimes with each other too. We hope to finish packing boxes today!
Nahlia loves to walk around and assumes that I am her 'walker'. She will go all the way up to the main house and inside to visit Mrs Jaffe, all the while holding my hands.
We now have our first WWOOF placement! It's an organic/biodynamic fruit farm with free range chooks who live among the fruit trees, in Quaama, New South Wales. We aim to arrive there at the end of the first week of June.
Our official date of departure from the cottage in Lilydale is Friday, 31st of May. That's about ten days from now and there is still so much that we need to get done in that time!
