We are loving living in our little cottage! We seem to be very busy since we moved here - packing, unpacking, cleaning, gardening, gardening for the landlord, and our usual tasks of working, cooking and cleaning up afterwards, etc.! I'm growing muscles from all the physical work, but I'm enjoying it! When we do relax, we just love sitting in front of the fire together.
Last week we went mushroom hunting on the property, as conditions were perfect for them.
This is our mushroom haul! Plenty more where that came from, but there's only so many mushrooms that two people can eat!
We picked two types - a type of Boletus and Lactarius Salmonicolor - the brown one and the orange one! Yum-o! No Bacon required with these!
Ulf enjoys driving the tractor! He's a regular farm-boy now... :-) We use it to dump garden clippings in a paddock for later burning.
We've laid down some mulch to start killing the grass and decomposing for our vegie patch in spring. I'm keen to get into the orchard and see what life we can bring back into the fruit trees there, but it will have to wait until we have time, or winter, whichever comes first! They're mostly apples, possibly some pears and maybe an old cherry tree in poor health.
